Dear Dark Lord Day guest:

Please be advised that we will continue to update DarkLordDay.com as well as our Facebook page and Twitter with any revised or new information.  As you prepare for your trip, we are concerned for your safety and well being.   Therefore we strongly advise that you do not cross the railroad tracks at any location other than 45th and Calumet Avenue.  Second, please consider using a designated driver, taxi or hired limo service .  Third, should you drive parking is limited and all parking restrictions will be enforced.

Entering the Festival Grounds

When you approach the entrance gate please have your ticket and driver’s license, state ID or passport out and ready to be checked.  The name on your ticket must match the name on your ID.  If you are bringing a guest they need to enter the festival when you do.

Once you are in line for your designated sales time (Group letter on your event ticket) and inside the brewery you will turn over your event ticket that you purchased online. Then you will receive your “Golden Ticket” scratch off ticket. The scratch off lets you know if you will have the opportunity to purchase a Barrel-Aged Dark Lord Variant. As always, you will be able to purchase other Three Floyds beer as well. Those with physical disabilities will be escorted to the front of the line at the start of each Group.

·  One person is admitted per ticket

·  One allotment per person

·  One Golden Ticket per event ticket holder

In an effort to reduce congestion and provide more Barrel-Aged offerings to everyone, the Brewpub will not be open.  This is a cash only event and credit cards will not be accepted.  ATMs will be available on site.

Thank you and enjoy the 2014 Dark Lord Day festival!

Dark Lord is a gargantuan Russian Style Imperial Stout, with a reverse cascading head that starts out billowing the color of burnt oil like the Dark Lord rising from the black primordial beginnings. Its resonant vinous aroma has been described as cherries, sweet malt, molasses, burnt currants, plums with a port wine alcohol undertow. Mochachino notes buried within. Motor oil consistency, hellishly smooth yet divinely burnt and vinous. The first sip coats your palate with a palatial charred fruit and chocolate blanket. Alcohol burn wiggles its way down your throat with a thick body.
